Chinchero Clutch (MORE COLORS)

This clutch is a piece of wearable art. It is made from sheep's wool by a fair trade cooperative of artesanias in Chinchero outside the city of Cusco. The textile is colored only with natural dyes from plants. Each color is from a specific plant in Peru. For example, the green comes from the chilca plant. The purple comes from purple corn or maiz.

It is complimented by an intricately "eye" patterned edging or trim, which the Chinchero weavers are famous for and which are seen as having protective qualities.

It features a zippered close and an ivory cotton lining.

Mustard: 6" x 9.5" or  7.75" x 10"

Brick Red:  6.75" x 10.5"

Rust bottom/Navy Top: 6.75" x 9.5"

Navy Bottom/Rust Top: 6.5" x10.25"

Rust Bottom/Sky Blue Top: 7.5" x 9.5"

Purples: 8" x 10.75"
